Concave AGRI recently delivered a detailed training session on ASTER, its advanced data gathering platform, designed to strengthen the agricultural data collection process for the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) Pulses Value Chain Project. The training focused on ASTER’s functionality and practical use cases, highlighting how structured, accurate, and timely data serves as the backbone of informed decision-making in agriculture.
Participants, including Muhammad Ali Iqbal – President Concave AGRI, Fuad Khan – Chief Commercial Officer Concave AGRI, Adnan Qaisar – Head of Engineering – Concave AGRI, Dr. Mubashir from the Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture (MNSUA), Dr. Burhan from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF), and ACIAR Field Coordinators, discussed how effective data collection can help identify gaps, improve market linkages, and guide targeted interventions across the value chain. The session reinforced that in today’s Agri-tech landscape, quality data is not just an operational tool; it is a catalyst for efficiency, sustainability, and long-term sectoral growth.
This training was part of a larger collaborative effort that includes the The University of Queensland, Australia, the Australian High Commission, Islamabad, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), and COMSATS University Islamabad. At Concave AGRI, we are committed to equipping agricultural stakeholders with the digital tools and expertise they need to transform farming practices and strengthen food security in Pakistan.
