The Concave AGRI team recently took part in a field visit to Murali, Kot Sarang, Talagang, organized by the Soil and Water Conservation Research Institute, Chakwal (SAWCRI), on 10th September 2024, as part of the Farmer Day. This initiative was part of the Fertilize Right project, led by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS), ICARDA; International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas, and the Government of Pakistan. The focus of this Farmer Day was on promoting green manuring techniques within Punjab’s rainfed wheat systems.
The event brought together local farmers, agricultural specialists, and women farmers, offering a platform to exchange valuable insights on enhancing soil health and increasing crop productivity. This inclusive approach highlighted the essential role of women in agriculture, and Concave AGRI is proud to support women’s empowerment on all platforms.
A hands-on field demonstration gave all participants, including the women farmers, a closer look at how these practices can be applied, further enriching their understanding of green manuring and its benefits. Together, we are fostering a future that prioritizes sustainability and resilience in agriculture.
